From 1941 to 1966, Sarasota, Florida, became a hotbed of architectural innovation, known as the Sarasota School of Architecture. A group of visionary architects redefined modernism through the lens of Florida’s climate and lifestyle. Though never a formal movement, it became a defining chapter in American architecture and its results are seen throughout the city of Sarasota today!
Designing Sarasota's Story
Ringling celebrates three defining architectural styles that shaped Sarasota, Mediterranean Revival, Mid-Century Modern, and Postmodernism, through a series of tours and lectures. The challenge: to design a triptych poster set that unites these distinct styles into one cohesive visual system while clearly communicating the event’s details. The result captures the city’s architectural evolution and enduring creative spirit.
